The Latest Word from our CEO
Hello from your friends at YOUTH LEADERSHIP ALLIANCE!
Youth Leadership Alliance would like to thank the University of Missouri, Columbia and the volunteer students that generously gave their time to serve worthy causes in the DC area during our 2008 Spring Break Volunteer Program. These volunteers traveled by van for over 15 hours from Missouri to arrive in DC where they spent a week on various community service projects. Our first major event of the 2008 winter season was a great success thanks to these future leaders. A special appreciation goes to Allison Harris, who served as the volunteer chairperson and group leader.
Through our relationships with local organizations such as Refuge of Hope Disciple Center, we were able to work with this group while they performed various community service activities throughout the DC area. This was an enormous honor for us to host the University of Missouri volunteer members during their week-long visit to Washington, DC.
